This week has been a bit of a pause and reflect moment at thinkivity. We have been busy building, delivering, and fine tuning GlazePro AI, but this week, we decided to do something important. We launched a questionnaire.

Why? Because we want to stop assuming and start listening.

We have had so many conversations over the past few months about AI in the glazing industry. Understanding its potential, its unknowns, the hesitations, the excitement but one thing keeps standing out: there is no single direction, no universal answer, and no neatly packaged guide on how this should all work.

So now, we are asking the industry directly: What does AI mean to you? How can we make GlazePro AI fit your needs? What support do you need? This is not what we think you need! AI Use In The Glazing Industry – Thinkivity

One of the highlights of the week was an insightful chat with a couple of colleagues in the industry. One of them is a bit of a legend when it comes to bucking trends in the fenestration world. She has built a brilliant niche colour coating business based on good old fashioned hard work and a “nothing is too much trouble” attitude and the refusal to sit still. That energy is inspiring.

The other, who brings her creative spark to the brand, comes from a completely different background. She has worked with research and development and production, including time at the BBC on high profile shows like Top Gear. So, the whole concept of AI as a creative assistant? She had a very passionate view to using AI, which I loved!

Her instinct is to create something uniquely hers. Having a creative voice and the ability to think outside the box, this skill set will always come from her (the human). This passion and drive is one we always respect at thinkivity. thinkivity has never been about replacing people’s voices. It is about amplifying them. As we explored live examples together, she began to see how AI could work with her, in a different way. Just a few prompts and challenges later, it sparked a completely different conversation, this opened up new possibilities for the whole team.

Last week, we found ourselves soaking up some sun on the Thames for the London PIGS event. Glorious weather, great company, and even better views. More than anything, it was another reminder of just how far AI conversations have come in the past six to eight months.

There are now people confidently using AI on their own terms, experimenting and finding value in it. That alone is worth celebrating. The real shift is in the tone, people are moving from “Should we?” to “How do we?” There is still scepticism, of course. Healthy scepticism is welcome. The best part is that AI is no longer being seen as a tech gimmick. It is being recognised as a business tool, and we are here to show what that really looks like.

Let us be honest, AI is about so much more than writing emails for you. Just look at the work we do together each week to bring this blog to life. That is not automation. That is collaboration.

One of the things I’m most proud of with GlazePro AI is how it helps businesses learn AI in small, easy to manage sections. We know that diving into AI can feel overwhelming, where to start, what to use, how much time it will take. That’s why we break it down. Little wins. Simple steps. Practical examples. So, as we ask the industry to help shape what is next, I am feeling optimistic. The energy is shifting. The creativity is bubbling. And with every new conversation, we are refining what GlazePro AI can offer, not just now, but in the long run. We are not here to assume. We are here to build something that fits.
