Last week was one of those weeks quality time with family,  bank holidays, a seasonal cold, and all the spinning plates that come with running thinkivity. But despite the chaos, there was one consistent theme: reflecting on the impact of our recent in-house AI training session and how our new friends are starting to shape their own journeys.

We took time to reconnect with a few of them to find out how things are going. And honestly, it was a great reminder that AI is like a colleague you didn’t know you needed, like a satellite quietly orbiting your working world, ready to support you when you need it. Even when you’re full of cold and feeling a bit foggy, AI’s there like that supportive partner with a hot cup of tea waiting for you when you walk through the front door.

Charlotte’s Journey

I had planned to record a video interview catch with Charlotte to capture her reflections, but technology had other ideas. Halfway through, the video quality gave up on us, so we pivoted, like all good AI adventurers do. We ended up dictating to a Word document that was packed full of text. To anyone else, it would’ve looked like total chaos. It did not deliver the material for the case study I was working on. But instead of panicking or giving up deflated, we asked ChatGPT to step in.

With just a little prompting, it transformed all that raw conversation into a clear, bullet-pointed summary of Charlotte’s journey. It was like watching a cloud of thoughts form into something meaningful. The best part? It didn’t lose Charlotte’s voice—or mine. The AI helped shape the report, but the personality stayed completely intact and provided an excellent resource tool for Charlotte’s own AI journey.

Now, things didn’t go quite as planned, and we didn’t get the case study material we were hoping for, this is okay, we are taking this quest on a better journey for better results. What it did do was remind me that human-to-human interaction will always bring out the best results. Sometimes, the real value isn’t in the output, but in the connection. Because in the end, people working together, that’s where the real power lies.

Charlotte, like many people, is open about how hard it can be to keep on top of admin. AI hasn’t replaced her; it simply supports her, giving her time and space to focus on the parts of her role that bring the most value. That’s the sweet spot! Using AI not as a shortcut, but as a tool for clarity, confidence, and creativity.
