October routines, real talk about AI, and a fresh season for Thinkivity

October is here and with it comes routine, I like routine. Being able to plan and be organised. What surprised me as we reached out to more businesses this month was just how interested people are in AI. The interest covers the full spectrum. Some are sceptical. Some feel they should know, but do not know where to start. Some are using ChatGPT to write emails and not much else. Others are embracing AI and seeing where it can take their business.

The middle ground is where most sit and feel they are ok with AI. These are the teams who already use ChatGPT for emails or the odd brainstorm and not much more. This is where thinkivity enters the room! We sit together and make a few smart tweaks. We work on the prompt to engineer a better output. That is when you see the difference it can make to a business. And we do not stop there. At thinkivity we open the lid a little wider and show what else is possible. AI really is limitless. Every person brings a different idea. A different lens. That does not make one right and another wrong. It simply means you can reach a different, often better, outcome.

GlazePro AI

Bringing these people together inside GlazePro AI is where the magic multiplies. Members share what they are trying, what worked, and what did not. The wins are practical. The lessons are honest. A community like that turns curiosity into progress.

Among them are what I like to call the AI experts, the fearless ones. They use imagination without boundaries and lead with a genuine sense of curiosity. They are the pioneers of our community, the ones who dive in first, test new ideas, and then offer a hand to help others up. It is a powerful thing to watch, because it shows what collaboration in this industry can really look like when people share ideas instead of guarding them.

Sceptics need care

Sceptics need a different kind of care. Sometimes the barrier is confidence. Sometimes it is the stories we have all heard from films and headlines. When people meet Elton and me, they often borrow a bit of our enthusiasm and start to believe they can do this. We also keep it real. Even a simple use case that saves thirty minutes a day adds up to two and a half hours across a week. That is time back for people and that matters.

The part of AI I love the most is the way it lifts creativity. We all have tasks we put off. They feel heavy. AI can flip that feeling. Give it a clear input and it gives you momentum. Finish more with more enjoyment and you finish the day smiling. The best moments for me are still the light bulb moments in training or Q and A. You see understanding click. Confidence grows. It makes me want to shout louder about what AI can do for real people in real jobs.

AI Furby

Many people are already using AI without realising. Often examples like the AI Furby toy that reacted and learned. The goal is not to be technical. The goal is to take away fear. Once the fear drops, learning begins.

We also talk a lot about the future of selling in our industry, I can see a time very soon when many customers order windows without a salesperson in the room. The process will be simple and friction free. At the same time, statement projects and premium installations are still a journey. A person in front of a homeowner will still matter. AI can support both paths. It can help with discovery, design visuals, quoting, scheduling, fitting, aftercare and follow up. It is not people or AI. It is people with AI.

Left behind. Or gone?

What worries me is the small number of businesses who believe they do not need any of this. I wonder where they will be in two, five, or ten years. The gap will widen. The teams that learn now will move faster, make fewer errors, and serve customers better.

As the season shifts from summer into the colours of autumn, this is a good time to look at your business. Shed a few old leaves. Try a new branch. Get ready for spring. AI can be part of that change. It does not need to be big or scary. Start small. Build confidence. Let the results guide the next step.

New season. New energy. Same mission. Helping the glazing industry use AI to work smarter, feel lighter, and grow with confidence.
