More Than Just AI. Community, Automation & Real Change

Heads Down

The past couple of weeks at thinkivity have been full-on, but in the best way. We’ve been heads-down, building more content, crafting real-world examples and exploring the kinds of challenges glazing businesses actually face. Not just the theoretical “future of AI” kind, but the everyday, “we could really use a solution for this” kind. And the more we’ve dug in, the more one thing has become clear: it’s not just about AI. It’s also about automation.

We’ve always known AI could help the glazing industry evolve but we’re seeing now that automation is a key part of the puzzle. Businesses don’t just want clever tools that think, they want systems that do. Processes that work in the background. Tasks that run smoother, faster, more reliably. It’s that combination AI plus automation that unlocks something truly powerful. AI  and automation are a match made to be together!

Familiar Faces

There’s been a steady stream of online meetings for me recently, catching up with familiar faces (which always feels like home). One of the things I love most is how varied everyone’s opinions are on AI. It never gets dull! Some people are fully in, some are testing the waters, and others are still cautiously watching from the sidelines. And that’s okay. It actually highlights what makes thinkivity so unique, we’re not static in our approach and we don’t expect others to be either.

We’re evolving all the time. And, just like AI, we’re listening and improving with every interaction. The map we sketched out back in early 2025 already looks different from the one we’re navigating this summer and I’ve no doubt it’ll shift again before Christmas. That’s part of the magic: being flexible, being real, and responding to what the industry actually needs not what we thought it might want months ago.

A Proper Little Community

One of the most exciting things to watch lately has been the growing GlazePro AI team. It’s not just a platform anymore, it’s a proper little community. People are helping each other, cheering each other on, and sharing their wins and wobbles. A great example from this week: someone used an LLM (large language model) to help solve a problem, then posted it in the group, showing exactly how they’d approached it. That single post sparked loads of suggestions, new angles, and shared experiences. One simple solution bloomed into many and they were all useful, practical, and in some cases, seriously time and cost-saving.

That’s the real heart of GlazePro AI. Yes, there are tools, reviews, and guidance but it’s the community that takes it from helpful to transformational. Who doesn’t want to be part of this?  Who doesn’t want to want to improve or help support others while supporting themselves?

Back To The Future

I also had the chance to attend Digital Construction Week and wow, what an experience. It was a completely different vibe to FIT Show. Bigger, broader, more high-level in some ways but no less valuable. The highlight (obviously) was seeing the DeLorean from Back to the Future! But beneath the fun, there was a very clear message: automation and data management are not “nice-to-haves.” They’re the foundations of modern businesses that plan to stick around.

Walking around that event, what struck me most was how comfortable so many businesses already are with AI. It wasn’t just theory it was everyday use. These weren’t “early adopters” anymore. They were just adopters. And while the glazing industry is catching up quickly, there’s still a gap. A big part of our mission is to help close that gap, in a way that feels achievable not overwhelming.

Starting Quiet – Growing Quick

Because this isn’t about future-proofing for the sake of it. It’s about making your business work with you, not against you. Giving you back time. Helping you solve problems with a little less stress and a lot more clarity. And just like automation itself, it starts quietly then grows quickly.
