From Conversations to Collaborations. Post-FIT Show Progress

After the blur of the bank holiday and a busy week catching our breath post-FIT Show, thinkivity have been right back at it, reconnecting, following up, and turning conversations into collaborations. There’s something really satisfying about seeing those exhibition floor chats evolve into meaningful next steps.

This week has been all about nurturing those connections we made at FIT Show. It’s a brilliant reminder of why we do what we do, bringing AI into the glazing industry in a way that feels approachable, practical, and genuinely exciting.

One standout moment came in the week when we met with a fantastic family-run business now led by a brother and sister duo. There’s something inspiring about seeing that kind of leadership dynamic, a balance of tradition and fresh thinking. What really impressed me, though, was hearing about a female apprentice who had come all the way through their programme in training young people into qualified window installers, something our industry is shouting out for. That kind of progression says a lot about the evolution of their business and the kind of culture they’re creating. It’s a company that’s clearly looking to the future, and I’m excited to be part of their journey as they start to explore how AI can help them move even faster.

Russell, their MD, is doing some really exciting things in making sure his team are constantly ahead of the curve. His forward-thinking attitude is exactly what this industry needs. He gets it, AI isn’t a trend, it’s a toolset. And when you start using the right tools, everything becomes more streamlined, more effective, and even a bit more fun.

We also spent time with Lisa and Michael, two people who never shy away from a challenge or something new. Lisa has officially signed up to the Glazing Pro AI membership, and we’re buzzing to work with her more closely. It’s brilliant when someone sees the potential in what we’re offering and jumps right in. There’s always that lightbulb moment when people realise that AI isn’t here to replace them, it’s here to power them up and Lisa already shines!

With the shorter week, time’s been our biggest challenge. The recharge was much needed. It’s felt like a race to squeeze in all the follow-ups and keep the momentum from FIT Show going. But we’ve made great progress, and now we’re gearing up for a big moment next week, the official launch of all our GlazingPro AI membership with a webinar Thursday 15th at 3pm (you can register here – https://zoom.us/meeting/register/CcxyYjZiR9mZAZATO6bDpg).

That’s going to be a game-changer for how we offer support, training, and guidance for the glazing world. Best yet, we are inviting the whole glazing industry to join us!

One of the loveliest things this week has been hearing from people who visited our stand at FIT Show and were genuinely impressed by the team, not just those of us who spend each day at thinkivity, but everyone who helped out. It’s such a proud moment when people tell you how knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful the whole team was. What makes that even better is that some of those team members (the legends that are Ralph and Angela) weren’t from the glazing industry at all. Which just goes to show how powerfully (and quickly) people can embrace AI and become confident with it, no matter their background.

To top it all off, the cameras were rolling at FIT Show, this week, the footage made it to FIT Show 2025 YouTube channel. It was a bit surreal watching it back, especially with the kids taking the mick in true family fashion! But deep down, I think they’re secretly just as proud as I am of what we managed to pull off. It was a huge moment for thinkivity, seeing it all brought together on screen really hit home how far we’ve come. 🎥 You can watch the Fit Show highlights here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xpug0cKTX70
