This week has been a reminder that progress often comes from people who quietly and consistently keep trying to make things better.
It started with a bit of chaos. Our car was damaged by a mobility scooter accident, long story but where I am concerned it usually is. Thankfully no one was seriously hurt, but it meant juggling repairs, transport and plans. Still, those interruptions sometimes make space for reflection, and as the week went on, that theme of patience and persistence seemed to follow me everywhere.
Early in the week, thinkivity reconnected with a business that shares our outlook on AI and innovation. The conversation was full of humour, honesty and practical thinking. We talked about how artificial intelligence can integrate into a business rather than sit alongside it, and how it is as much about people as it is about technology. That focus on understanding people first remains at the heart of everything we do at thinkivity and within GlazePro AI. Both are built on the same principle: technology is most powerful when it supports people, not when it replaces them.
Midweek was more grounded, an admin day and some time spent reading about the newest developments with Copilot. There is so much coming from Microsoft that is genuinely exciting, I can already see how it will transform users working day.
An Epic Journey
Then came an epic Thursday, a 500-mile round trip, ten hours in the car and a four-hour meeting. Long, yes, but valuable. Elton and I rarely get that much uninterrupted time together, and it gave us space to talk deeply about AI, strategy and people. The meeting itself was with a company whose owner had recently entered the industry bringing his vast corporate experience into the glazing industry. The team behind him clearly knows their business inside out and could see where AI might make a real difference, not by adding more people but by working more efficiently with what they already have.
That day reminded me why our partnership works so well. We bring different but complementary strengths to the table. One of us with a structured, strategic mind shaped by years in marketing and software, and the other with lived experience of the glazing and manufacturing industry. Between us, ideas bounce quickly and the energy builds. What connects us most is that shared determination to keep improving, never standing still, never settling for good enough. It is exactly that energy that shapes thinkivity and fuels the growth of GlazePro AI.
Twice on the long drive we passed Stonehenge. Always magical to see, but this time it felt especially relevant. The timing was perfect, the weekend of the clock change for British Summer Time. It made me think about how people have always looked for ways to understand and measure time, to build something lasting, something precise. The people who built Stonehenge were using the data of their environment, sunlight, shadows and seasons, to make sense of the world. It was their version of AI in a way, observation, pattern and innovation.
Building Better
That idea of ingenuity has stayed with me. Whether it is an ancient stone circle or a digital system, progress depends on people who keep perfecting. It is not about building something new for the sake of it, it is about building better.
By Friday, I was tired but content. After all the travel, I woke early and took a crisp morning walk under a bright blue sky while sorting through practical tasks, including a bit of digital housekeeping. My ChatGPT history had become cluttered, making it harder to find what mattered. So, with the help of AI I reorganised it, updated my workflow and took a moment to reflect on how I could use my LLMs more thoughtfully. The irony was not lost on me. At thinkivity, we talk to businesses all the time about the importance of cleaning and managing their data, and here I was doing the same thing for my own workspace.
There was also time for another meeting with a group that supports several businesses within the industry. Their curiosity about AI was genuine, and their honesty refreshing. Like many, they want to understand how to use it better, not just follow the trend. It is that mindset that makes collaboration exciting, and exactly what we encourage through the GlazePro AI community.
Creative Growth
To round out the week, I have been thinking about growth, particularly my creative one. I have realised it is time for my image generation to evolve. Until now, I have leaned on safe, colourful, Pixar style visuals for my blog. But I am ready to move forward, to create images that reflect how my understanding of AI has matured. The tools available now are extraordinary, and I want my visuals to grow alongside my words, showing a clear journey from playful experimentation to meaningful creation.
By the end of 2025, I want to look back and see that evolution clearly, not perfection but progress.
This week has been about that idea in every sense, from ancient stones to modern systems, from partnerships to personal projects. Whether it is AI, image generation or the way we manage our own data, progress is not about rushing ahead. It is about aligning curiosity with care, learning with purpose and always finding a better way to build.
