A Week Full of AI Discoveries at Thinkivity – The Condensed Version!

What a week it’s been at thinkivity! With the FIT Show fast approaching, we’re gearing up to launch new projects that will enhance our AI training offerings. Our stand (G80) may be small, but it’s definitely going to make some noise! We’re surrounded by fantastic neighbours, making this section of the show worth a visit.

One of the week’s highlights was catching up with an old colleague who’s now managing sales across five different businesses. Naturally, he was curious about how AI could boost growth and efficiency across multiple divisions. This conversation was a great opportunity to explain how AI can streamline processes, automate admin tasks, and free up time for sales teams to focus on building relationships.

I also spent time exploring coding and prompt engineering. Coding might seem intimidating, but it’s really just about giving AI a set of instructions, much like teaching someone a new skill. AI learns and improves over time, and the more you interact with it, the better the results. This naturally led me to experiment with prompt engineering—where small tweaks in how you phrase a request can make a huge difference in the quality of responses.

It’s fascinating how subtle changes can turn a basic answer into a brilliant one, highlighting why prompt engineering is such a vital skill when starting your AI journey. The more we interact with AI, the better the output.

I had a little fun with prompt tweaking to see how I could improve the first image by asking the AI to age it, the 2nd output I felt it had aged a little too much 😂.

Finally, with the right prompt the image is what I wanted and reflects what tool I have enjoyed using the most this week.

With the correct prompt!

This weeks tool was using voice dictation and learning how to speed things up when interact with ChatGPT or Copilot. Top tip: on Windows, pressing Windows key + H activates dictation, while Mac users can press Control key twice. This little trick has been a game-changer, allowing me to capture ideas quickly without stopping to type, keeping my creative flow uninterrupted. It’s perfect for doing a quick brain dump when you want to revisit ideas later.

The most exciting realisation of the week was viewing LLMs (large language models) not just as search engines but as reasoning engines. While search engines retrieve information based on keywords, LLMs analyse context, understand intent, and generate thoughtful responses. This shift in perspective highlights AI’s true power—helping users explore ideas, refine their thinking, and make better decisions. Again, the more we use LLM’s like anything AI based, the better the output will be. It helps understand sentiment and begins to become familiar with the users language tone.

As the week wraps up, I’m more excited than ever about the journey ahead. With new insights gained and exciting projects on the horizon, it’s clear that AI is transforming how we work, learn, and engage with the world. AI is powerful but also fun, I can’t wait to see where this adventure takes us next! 🚀
