A Fresh Start and a New Term for thinkivity

A Fresh Start and a New Term for thinkivity

My downtime flew by, and it was exactly the kind of break I needed. This wasn’t a “sit by the pool” kind of holiday. We took the children away and made sure we made the most of every single day, physically and mentally. Every day gave us something new, and most importantly, the kids had quality time with us.

It’s easy to let the working day run away from you: start earlier, work later, skip breaks. Especially when the momentum around AI is building and you don’t want to lose pace. But this holiday was a good reminder of balance. thinkivity isn’t just Elton and me at the core, it’s also about the connections we’re making with the people we know and the ones we’ve yet to meet. That network is just as important as the technology we’re helping people to adopt.

Returning to the world that is thinkivity and GlazePro AI, I came back realising just how much I lean on AI daily, often in ways I barely stop to acknowledge. Whether it’s planning my day, organising thoughts, or simplifying decisions, it’s a constant support. Then, when we come together with our GlazePro AI Q&A sessions or sit face-to-face with businesses, the ideas multiply. AI really does feel limitless, we are seeing more people grow with confidence and use for more than writing emails.

Over the last fortnight, we’ve been mapping strategies and sketching out where thinkivity can go next, based firmly on the feedback we’ve been hearing. That feedback is invaluable. It reminds us that while AI is powerful, the real value lies in how people use it and that adoption and continuous improvement are just as important as the initial training. It’s not about dropping in, delivering a session, and walking away. It’s about being part of a journey.

As August closes and September begins, it feels like the start of a new year. Much like January in calendar sense of a new year, it brings with it a sense of fresh beginnings and new challenges. At home, it’s a big moment: one child heading back to university, two starting sixth form, and the youngest embarking on GCSEs. Exciting times, and a reminder that we are always learning. Every day is a school day!

That lesson carries through to thinkivity too. We will always be learning new things about AI, staying ahead of the curve so we can help the businesses we work with stay at the top of theirs. Sometimes that learning comes from shaking things up. It’s easy to focus only on the training we deliver, but the real impact comes from helping businesses adopt AI properly and continuously improve how they use it.

That’s why we make a point of offering ongoing support, not just a one-off session. For us, six months after training is just as important as day one. By then, businesses have been living with AI, testing it, applying it, and discovering what really works. The feedback they give us at that stage is pure gold, it helps them refine their approach, and it helps us spread their learning across the GlazePro AI community.

Interestingly, the last two weeks have had me mostly behind my laptop rather than on the road. Normally I’d be climbing the walls by now, but it’s been refreshing. Busy in a different way, focused in a different way. thinkivity is starting to settle into it’s own rhythm, the strategy is coming into sharper focus.

So, is this the start of a new school year for thinkivity? It feels that way. We’ve got a strong community, a clear vision, and the momentum to carry it forward. The real excitement is in knowing that the journey is shared. Nobody wants to stand still, nobody wants to be left behind and together, we’ll make sure they don’t. Best part, no one feels like the new kid in GlazePro AI or thinkivity.
